Take advantage of the best desert trips from Fez and enjoy 2 days of travel in the heart of southern Morocco. A route that takes us to the largest dunes of the Sahara desert of Merzouga, passing through the middle Atlas where you can watch Berber apes on the trees, enjoy an oasis of green palm trees, beautiful landscapes, authentic Berber villages, the Ziz Valley, it is a good opportunity for those who love to sleep in the desert camps under the stars and watch Berber folklore music.
Our private tour begins with a drive towards the Atlas Mountains stopping to visit the villages of Azrou, and Ifrane, where we’ll get a chance to explore the famous cedar forest, home of the Berber apes.
We’ll continue from there to Midelt, traveling through the Tiz Ntalghamt Mountain Pass and the Ziz Gorge (here we can stop for pictures and some local mint tea).
Then we’ll travel across the Ziz Valley, Erfoud, and Rissani; an oasis we’ll stop by just before reaching the Sahara desert. Once we arrive at the Erg Chebbi desert dunes, we’ll trade in the 4×4 for camels (optional) and ride towards our desert camp. Upon arrival there we’ll be served a complimentary traditional dinner, and enjoy some music around a campfire under the star and moonlit desert sky.
On your last day, we’ll catch an early start to watch the sunrise over the dunes, and then from there ride on camelback (optional) to the village and enjoy a complimentary breakfast in a hotel. Then it’s back on the road towards Rissani and Erfoud, where we’ll make a stop once more before continuing to Ifrane and then finally, Fez.
